Experience

After completing her training, Caroline worked in a hospital in China and then at GP practices and clinics in Sussex and Surrey.  She also lectured degree-level students at ICOM.  She now practices at her home and does home visits, seeing around 25-30 patients a week.

Caroline has been a member of the British Acupuncture Council https://www.acupuncture.org.uk/ for over 30 years and adheres strictly to their codes of professional conduct and safe practice. She is covered by full Professional Indemnity Insurance.

Training

Caroline completed a 4-year degree in acupuncture at the International College of Oriental Medicine ICOM (http://orientalmed.ac.uk/). Her training course provided her with full training in the practice of traditional Chinese acupuncture, including theory, diagnosis and safe practice. It also gave her a full understanding of Western medicine (anatomy, diagnosis, disease pathology) as both Chinese and Western traditions complement one another. Caroline regularly undertakes Continuing Professional Development to enhance her work; recent courses include Tibetan Medicine, treating musculoskeletal disorders, fascia (connective tissue) and facial work, and managing infertility/gynaecological conditions.
